Biography

Joined the Endodontic Group in 2015.

Dr. April Alford believes exceptional endodontic care starts with trust. She knows that many patients feel anxious about root canal treatment, so her priority is creating a calm, comfortable experience where every patient feels heard, informed, and genuinely cared for.

Originally from Southern California, Dr. Alford earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Westmont College before receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in 2005. She completed her specialty training in Endodontics at Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 2007, where she developed the advanced clinical skills that continue to guide her practice today.

Committed to advancing the specialty of endodontics, Dr. Alford served as President of the Boston University Endodontic Alumni Association from 2024 to 2026. Her leadership reflects her dedication to lifelong learning, professional collaboration, and staying at the forefront of the latest advances in endodontic care.

Dr. Alford is passionate about saving natural teeth through precise, evidence-based treatment using modern techniques and technology. She values building lasting relationships with her patients and believes that clear communication, compassion, and attention to detail are just as important as clinical excellence.

Outside the office, Dr. Alford enjoys making the most of her time with her two energetic boys. Whether they’re exploring the neighborhood, taking walks along the beach, or heading to the mountains for a family ski trip, she loves being active together. After a day on the slopes, there’s nothing better than relaxing by a cozy fire while her boys squeeze in a few more runs. Those moments with family help keep her grounded and bring the same warmth and perspective she strives to share with every patient she treats.
